Victoria Ave Fountain Hull Watercolour Painting / Original Artwork
This artwork is 1 of the 6 total Attractions of the Avenues pieces. A collection of watercolours bringing to life hidden gems around Hull's west Avenues.
The Victoria Avenue Fountain is a restored Victorian water feature located on the roundabout at the junction of Victoria Avenue and Salisbury Street in Hull. The original fountain was installed in 1874 and removed in the 1920s, when it later was reinstalled in 2023 as an iron replica. On my daily outings around the avenues area, the fountains bring so much tranquility and beauty to the area, and are a highlight of my walks come rain or shine.
This is the original artwork - the only one available, hand drawn with an immense level of detail, and painted with full attention and care, to bring the colours and feelings of the subject to life. It carries the marks and details that exist in this piece alone.
